Key Takeaways

• Luke Kennard is listed as questionable with left knee tendinopathy ahead of the Suns' home game against the Warriors, after he missed the season opener in a 124-83 loss to the Trail Blazers.
• Kennard was acquired in the offseason to bolster perimeter shooting and spacing around Devin Booker, making his availability a potential swing factor for Phoenix's offensive continuity.
• In the 2025-26 season, Kennard split between Atlanta and Los Angeles, averaging 8.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 47.8% from three in 78 games, illustrating his shooting impact when healthy.
• This season, he joins two other Suns on the injury report: center Mark Williams is out recovering from left shoulder surgery, and forward Oso Ighodaro is doubtful with a right oblique strain.
• The absence or limited availability of Kennard would add coaching pressure on Jordan Ott as Phoenix faces a Golden State team eager to secure its first win after an 0-2 start.
• Kennard’s potential presence could help the Suns’ offense develop consistency amid offseason roster changes, particularly in providing reliable 3-point shooting.
• The Suns-Warriors game is set for Saturday at 7 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on NBA TV, with both teams looking to avoid an early-season setback.
