An NBA back-to-back weekend matchup has the Philadelphia 76ers weighing workload management for Joel Embiid and LeBron James. Embiid is ruled out for the second leg of the back-to-back, while James is listed as questionable due to back-related concerns as the Sixers host Milwaukee. The team has been discussing how to pace minutes after Embiid’s extensive surgery history and James’ advancing age, with the coach noting ongoing workload considerations. The situation underscores strategic decisions around star players’ availability during back-to-back games and the implications for both teams’ playoff positioning and rotation plans. Momentum for the weekend hinges on how these star players are managed and whether the Sixers can lean on depth to sustain performance in the absence of Embiid for one game.
